Captivating, uplifting and yet subtly melancholy, it finds its way into the soul and never lets go. Catch these guys live if you can. It's an experience to be had for sure. Favorite track: Quiet Beneath the Yangtze River.

Mark S Self described "Instrumental Sad Rock from Portland, Oregon". Wait… I am: Sad Rock from Portland, OR. This is my soundtrack! (Even though I'm no longer feeling pervasively sad, the sound of sadness is much more compelling.) I highly recommend this album. Favorite track: Bottomfeeder.

NASON FRIZZELL This band is hands down one of my favorite live bands. This record captures that live feel while taking the listener through an aural journey. This vinyl is one of my prized possessions in my collection.

jenniferosteen Coastlands is the best post rock band on the scene right now. Each album gets better and better, this one is no exception.

I have music from a number of post-rock artists in my collection, but I find myself coming back to this masterpiece time and again. This might be the best post-rock album of all time, superior to even its predecessor. The title is spot on - listening from beginning to end whisked me away on the most vivid journey of the mind I've experienced since Jean-Michel Jarre's "Oxygène 7-13" a quarter-century ago. fair2mindlin
